Trail network
The trail network in Vinje municipality is operated by 3 different snowmobile clubs, it is a total of over 200km long and connects the various villages and tourist attractions. The trails are regularly assessed for safety, and are opened/closed individually at short notice. Therefore, always follow the signs and markings.

Use of the snowmobile trails
Be considerate of skiers and other people. Speeds must be reduced near cabins, ski trails, homes and along private roads. There must be a full stop and yield when crossing ski trails and public roads. Your driving license must always be with you when driving. The trails will be opened as they are marked and marked.
The trails are closed when ice and snow conditions dictate. Resting is allowed up to 30 meters directly off the trails, where there are no signs prohibiting it. Driving parallel to the trails is not permitted. The general upper speed limit is 70 km/h. With a sled without passengers, the maximum speed is 60 km/h, and with passengers, a maximum of 40 km/h.
